A little bit about me

I am a mum of 3 children aged 3 weeks, 4 and 5.  My partner and I run our business Xpozur which assists small to medium businesses to increase their online exposure through assisting with social media marketing, web design / SEO and branding.

We have been together for 10 years.  Aside form the business and time with my family I love exercise / gym / being outdoors and researching property.  My partner and I invest in property as well and have 2 complete renovations.

Social Media Tip #1 - when it comes to #hashtags, looks for ones that are relevant to you and your audience and use ones which have between 100K and 500K followers, anymore and your post will get lost.

Social Media Tip #2 - when posting to your socials, do it consistently and at minimum 1 to 2 times per week.

What does your typical day look like?

A typical day for me consists of:

Feeding our baby every 3 – 4 hours

Dropping off / picking up other children from daycare & school

Business which usually involves managing clients social accounts, social media strategy formation, web design, content creation and other usual business functions such as answering emails, speaking to prospects, doing our own social media posting, expanding the business etc.  I also usual go to the gym or go for a walk.

What is the best advice you have received?

Overall I think the best advice I ever received was the quote ‘Nobody is you.  That is your power’.  I believe self belief and also responsibility are critical to achieving whatever you want to set your mind to.

Be flexible within your routine.

What are you currently reading?

The book I am currently reading is Disruptive Leadership by Sharon Pearson.

If you cook, what are your fave or go to recipes?

I do cook.  My tips are use a slow cooker.  And for busy mums it’s important to just do what works.  I have a nutria bullet for lunch because it’s all I have time for.  During the weekdays, it's more traditional meat and three veg and on the weekends its more roasts are larger longer meals that can be meal prep'd.

What one area of your life would you like to improve?

Having just had our third child 3 weeks ago, the one area of my life I am focused and dedicated to improving at the moment is health.  It has also been about 5 years sine I had a decent holiday so that is another I need to change!

What’s the one thing you do each day to make your life smoother?

Being organized and focused on specific things which need to be done are the main things that I find really help because sometimes the days run smoothly and others it is complete chaos!

What’s one piece of advice you would give your pre baby self?

One piece of advice I would give my pre baby self – I haven’t thought about it and I don’t thing about the past.  I have absolutely loved my life since having my children and believe now I am the happiest I have ever been.

What are the most useful baby items you have?

Some useful baby items I have include the capsule, baby jogger citi mini GT pram (so light and convenient) & also a video monitor and oricom baby sense 2.
