Ep. 19 2019 - Sandra Ifrah - Child & Adolescent Psychologist
In todays episode of the busy mum podcast, I speak with Sandra Ifrah who has started her business in Child & Adolescent Psychologist. There are some great educational webinars on dealing with issues with your kids so check out her website.
How do you define yourself and what you do in your business (if you have one) and your family life? Do you use any apps in business that you can’t live without?
I can sum up how I define myself by the saying “your 39 and only limited by your imagination”. I’m a Child and Adolescent Psychologist by profession and I run my own clinic in Melbourne, I’m also a university lecturer and clinical student supervisor, and in my ‘spear’ time I’m a mum to three beautiful kids and a wife to my wonderfully supportive husband of 14 years.
A few days ago (brand new) I launched a new parenting webinar on-demand website which provides parents/carers access to webinars facilitated by registered psychologists worldwide, related to children, adolescent, parenting and family mental health and well-being.
Describe for us, a day in the life of you. Do you have any tips or life hacks?
Thursdays are my busiest days:
8:15 School drop off
8:30 First client in my clinic
16:00 School pickup
16:30 After-school activity
17:00 Childcare pickup
19:00 Kids bed time (toddler to sleep, girls book time)
19:30 Lecture group
21:30 Prepare for bed
22:00 Go over some emails
23:00 Bed YAY
My life hack would be to Delegate
What was the best advice you have received?
“This too shall pass”
Where do you go to get your entertainment? E.g. Netflix, Books, Podcasts, YouTube, and what are your fave’s.
To be honest, my kids are the best entertainers of all. I get dance performances/ singing concerts/Drama/ Comedy
What is your go to dinner!
I love cooking, so I try something new every week! I love a good old roast vegies and chicken. Easy and healthy.
What one area of your life would you like to improve?
Self-care, I think most mums really lack in this department.
What’s your greatest fear and how do you deal with it?
My greatest fear stems from my line of work. Working with children survivors of s/a for many years, it changes who you are, how you view the world and how limited at times our ability is to protect our children.
What website have you signed up to that you actually find value in receiving their emails
Decluttered the emails recently
What’s one piece of advice you would give your pre baby self
a. Taking care of yourself IS taking care of your family
What’s the most useful / useless baby item you have?
a. Useful – wipes
b. Useless – Too many to list!
If you have anything else you would like to discuss, please let me know prior to the recording.
I would like to discuss my new website for parenting support. www.nucleusly.com
I will also need the following to finalize the website page on your episode:

LOVE MY PODCAST?
Okay, busy mum! Let’s get real, I mean really real real (is that to many reals). I would lurve to get this podcast out there (in podcast land) so that other business mums can learn from these conversations. As you know, I am on iTunes and I would be forever grateful to get a review on iTunes and the more reviews I receive the more likely iTunes will reward this podcast with a better reach. Here is the iTunes link to help me with a review
